Nobles County DFL Joins the Hands Off! Protests

Over the weekend, many members of our local Nobles County DFL unit showed up and stood firm at the Hands Off! protests — and what an experience it was! For most of us, the closest protest was in Sioux Falls, and we were proud to be part of an absolutely incredible turnout.

I’ve been to several protests over the years, but this was by far the largest and most energized crowd I’ve ever seen. The unity, passion, and sheer number of people demanding action were truly moving.

For those who may not be familiar, the Hands Off! movement is a growing national response to the ongoing dismantling of our federal government. The stakes couldn't be higher, from attacks on health care and data privacy to the erosion of public services and good-paying jobs. This protest wasn’t about partisan politics — it was about protecting the systems and safeguards that millions of Americans rely on every single day.

We will not stand by while Trump, Musk, and their billionaire allies work to enrich themselves at the expense of everyday people. We’re sending a clear message: Hands Off our democracy. Hands Off our rights. Hands Off our future.
